1. What are Cookies and Local Storage?
Cookies are small text files stored on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Local storage (localStorage) is a modern web standard that allows websites to store larger amounts of data directly inside your browser window without slowing down your experience.
KPH Stay utilizes both cookies and local storage to keep you logged in, save your reservation choices, customize portal pages, and remember your interactions with our Concierge AI Assistant.
2. How We Use Browser Storage
We classify our data storage mechanisms into three main categories:
A. Essential Authentication & Session Storage
These items are necessary for the website to function. Without them, you would not be able to log into your guest dashboard or confirm room reservations.
- `kaghan_hotel_session`: Holds token identifiers for your logged-in profile.
- Firebase Auth Persistence: Manages secure connection sessions directly with Google Firebase.
B. Functional Storage (UI & AI Concierge)
These elements remember your preferences to improve your navigation experience.
- AI Chat History: Keeps a running transcript of your conversation with our AI Concierge, allowing it to remember details even if you refresh or switch pages.
- Search Preferences: Caches your preferred check-in and check-out dates when exploring available suites.
C. Cache Storage & Service Workers
We cache static assets (such as CSS stylesheets, system scripts, and icons) using service workers. This enables faster load times and allows basic navigation structures to work offline if your mobile network drops while traveling through mountain resort zones.
3. Managing Your Storage Preferences
You have the right to control how websites use cookies and local storage on your device. Most modern browsers allow you to block, review, or erase cookies and local storage values through their privacy settings.
Please note that if you choose to disable localStorage or block essential session cookies, you will be unable to log in, view your loyalty points, or complete secure room bookings online.
4. Third-Party Services
Some features on our website rely on verified external partners. For example, our database relies on Google Firebase Firestore, and payment processing is secure. These services may log temporary diagnostic tokens within your browser to authenticate secure data queries.
